Mojtaba Mirshekari (born September 14, 1990) is a Los Angeles-based Iranian editor and director. He is best known for editing When the Sun Sets (2021) and Kuroshio Current (2021). Mojtaba started his career in his home country, Iran, where he wrote and directed his first short film, Blackout (2016), edited several short films, and obtained his master's degree in Cinema Studies. He moved to Los Angeles in 2017 and earned his second master's degree in Film Production with emphasis on editing. Since then, he made Birthday (2019) his second short film as the director and editor in 2019 and edited several other narrative films.
