Justin Lee Hogue was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 20th 1993 to Lisa Hogue-Morrow, a Realtor and insurance agent, and James Robinson. As a child, Justin drifted towards the camera appearing in local political ads and a local children's TV game show. At the age of 16, Hogue began to take martial arts lessons from his eldest brother Master Carlton Robinson. He shuffled from school to school ultimately graduating from Whitney M. Young Gifted and Talented Leadership Academy. At the age of 18, Justin was accepted into the Cleveland Public Theatre's Student Theater Enrichment Program, where he studied topics ranging from Improv to Stage Combat for two summers training under Chris Seibert, Amy Compton, and Darius Stubbs. He began school at Miami University majoring in Philosophy shortly afterwards. Upon arrival at Miami University, Justin was introduced to the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and soon after became a brother. At the age of 21, Justin received his Green Sash in Kuntao Silat, equivalent to a black belt in other systems, and became a junior instructor. Between his freshman and senior years of college, Justin Lee followed in his mother's footsteps earning his life insurance license and actively working as an insurance agent. In his senior year, he decided to take a gap year to focus more intently on studying acting following his performance in Miami University's A Raisin in the Sun. Justin began studying at the Houde School of Acting studying under Jessica Houde, Tom Culinan, and Kurt Yue.
