Alfreð Finnbogason is a professional football playing as a center-forward. His career started in Icelandic club Breiðablik, where he played alongside future Iceland team mates Gylfi Sigurdsson and Johannn Berg Gudmundsson. He has gone on to play for clubs in Belgium, Sweden, The Netherlands, Spain, Greece and Germany. In the 2013-14 season, he scored 29 goals in the Dutch Eredivisie, placing him as one of the top 5 highest scoring players in any European league.
