Jamie is a hard-working striker who has scored goals at a prolific rate from non-league to the Premier League. After being released by his boyhood club Sheffield Wednesday for being too small, Jamie took a job in a local factory and joined non-league club Stocksbridge Park Steels where he quickly developed a reputation as a lethal finisher. Moves to Halifax Town and Fleetwood followed and it was at Fleetwood that Jamie's talents were showcased on a national level when he helped the Fishermen to the National League Title in 2012.His Fleetwood exploits prompted Leicester City to pay £1 Million for his services in May 2012, a record fee for a non-league player. He quickly became a huge favorite with fans and teammates thanks to his typically energetic and all-action displays on the field. In his second season at the club he scored an impressive 16 goals to help fire the Foxes to Promotion to the Premier League. It was a similar success story in the top-flight, as he announced his arrival with a brilliant goal to give Leicester City a 4-3 lead in their famous 5-3 victory over Manchester United in September 2014. His fine form and transition to the Premier League eventually saw him named in Roy Hodgson's England squad for fixtures against the Republic of Ireland and Slovenia in June 2015. An incredible feat when you consider that 5 years prior he was making medical splints for a living. His international debut then came in Dublin as a second half substitute against Ireland, while he netted a maiden goal for his nation against Germany - a brilliant front-post flick that helped the Three Lions to a 3-2 win. That goal came during a sensational Premier League campaign for the striker. He netted 24 times for the Foxes en route to the title, as well as scoring in a record-breaking 11 straight league games, a Guinness World Record! In 2018 he was included in Gareth Southgate's 23-man England squad for the FIFA World Cup in Russia, helping his nation reach the semi-finals and finishing in fourth place - their best showing since 1990.Jamie has now scored over 100 goals for the Foxes and to date he is the leading scorer of the current Premier League season. He also has his very own Football Academy - V9 Academy, designed to unearth hidden non-league talent, much like himself and help them get a contract with a professional club. Currently he has helped over 20 players secure professional contracts.Outside of football, Jamie enjoys spending time with his family.
