Alex Hooper-Hodson

Date of birth : 05/1979
City of birth : London, England, UK

Alex Hooper-Hodson has recently come to the public's attention as one of the four sex experts on the Channel 5 TV show 'Sex Pod'. The show breaks boundaries in terms of British TV programming in it's graphic depiction of sex, not to shock or to titillate, but to educate and demonstrate. Alex's experience in this field comes from a long career of writing about sex, relationships and giving advice in magazines and newspapers. Alex was the agony uncle for the teenage magazine Sugar from 2004 until 2010 and wrote sex advice and teen advice columns for the Scottish newspaper The Daily Record from 2007 until 2015. Alex has written three books, one of which 'The Boy Files' is the number one best selling book in the Children's Sex Education category. All Alex's books are puberty / sex-ed / growing up guides for teens. Alex comes from a family background that is significant to the field of sex education. His mother Anne Hooper is the world's biggest selling sex author and has written numerous titles for Dorling Kindersley. His father, Phillip Hodson, is a well known and respected psychotherapist and advice columnist who many remember from LBC radio, Going Live in the 1980s, the Trisha Show in the 1990s and his long running column in the now defunct News of the World newspaper, as well as also being an author of numerous books on sex and relationships.
