Tonya Sharae Davis, from Cleveland, Ohio, is an accomplished composer/musician, published author, vocalist, voice-over artist, stage and film actor, corporate and technical trainer, talk show host, and business owner. Davis debuted on the theater stage in 1991 as Tammi Terrell in the production Soul Sounds at the Cleveland, Ohio's infamous Karamu House Theater. Over the course of the next two decades, Davis appeared on the Karamu stage in numerous productions as Ensemble and a Lead including as: Sis. Caroline in God's Trombones (2016); Aunt Em (US)/Lead Pit Singer in The Wiz (2015); Bertha Holly in August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone (2014); and as a singer in the Tony Award winning musical revue It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues (2014) just to name a few. Davis has also appeared on stage in various community theaters and at the Hanna Theater in Playhouse Square in Cleveland, Ohio as Mary's Mother and sassy Sweet Brown in A Son is Given: An Urban Ballet in 2012. In 2013, Davis gained her first IMDb credit as the outspoken Thelma in the movie short, Mama's Kitchen by Myron Davis Films. In 2014, Davis made her debut on the major movie screen in the Cleveland 48 Hour Film Project as Ma (Mrs. Porter) and Dancer in Alternate Ending by KT Films. In 2017, Davis delivered a moving performance as Sabrina Hilton, the mother of a terminally diagnosed son in Caleb - A Living Miracle by Lorient Vision Productions. Later that year, Davis shot and was heavily involved in the production of the independent full featured film, Stand Alone (Trybal Productions). Davis began singing in church at the age of 5 and by age 9, she was the Sunday School pianist and performed Beethoven in the school cafeteria during lunch. At age 12, Davis began assisting music teachers in direction and accompanying the junior high and the high school choirs until high school graduation. Also, at age 12, Davis was added to the church payroll as Minister of Music for the Youth and Young Adult Choir for three years. Over the past three decades, Davis has worked with numerous bands and artists as a lead singer, background vocals, recording session vocals and keys, and has performed on stage around the country. Davis is the Founder and CEO of Lady Intelligence, Ltd. and has authored literary works under names of Nicol, Nicol Fox, and Tonya Nicol Davis. Davis also has an extensive catalog of musical compositions. Davis studied acting at the Karamu House Theater and studied stage/film acting at Cuyahoga Community College (Dean's List). Davis also studied piano for 10 years at the former music school Barto's Music. Davis has a 30+ year background in Business Administration, Operations, and Organizational Planning.
