Louie Castillo

Luis Miguel Castillo was born on October 8th, 1979, in Brooklyn, New York, to Miguel A. Castillo, a Marine Corp and Army Veteran, and Yomara J. Castillo, a cosmetologist and graduate of Crumb's Beauty College in Manhattan, Kansas. Luis has an older sister, Anna, who is an active duty service member for the United States Air Force having served over 23 years in the armed forces and younger brother, John, who is a retired Army First Sergeant after 20 plus years. The family moved many times due to to the military life. They finally moved to central Florida where Luis's father ultimately succumbed to cancer after years of fighting the disease. Castillo served for eleven years and three months in the United States Navy (1998-2010). After his military career, he attended Full Sail University where he obtained his bachelors degree in Digital Cinematography and masters degree in Creative Writing. Luis has received one award from the Orlando independent Filmmakers group located in Orlando for the Best Editor Award in his written film The Willow (2017). In his personal life, Luis is now happily married to Michelle L. Castillo, whom he met in Orange City, where she was attending the same church they go to. They both married on July 12th, 2018 at the Volusia County Courthouse in Deland, Florida. The couple have four children Bianca and Christian, Luis's children from a previous marriage, as well as Jenna and Nathan Flores, Michelle's children through a previous marriage. Luis, is a huge fan of the New York Yankees and tries to go to Spring Training games once a year for the best seats and autographs.
