Lee is originally from the North West of the United Kingdom and attended a number of acting workshops at the Academy of Live & Recorded Arts (ALRA) school. Over the next few years he was cast in a number of supporting roles in films such as Alexander, Mutant Chronicles, 28 Weeks Later and Stardust. In 28 Weeks Later he had a scene opposite Idris Elba performing a number of lines of dialogue with him, unfortunately this scene was not used in the final cut due to an ending change. In 2009 Lee decided to take a break from acting and focused on other hobbies. In December 2015 Lee decided to move back into the acting industry and stared in a number of student and indie films before landing the lead role as murderer Bert Spencer in the very popular 'Interview with a Murderer' TV documentary for Channel 4. Since this role Lee has kept busy gaining further roles to challenge his abilities.
