Derek Stockton

Derek Stockton was born in Crossville, TN in 1984. He grew up with an intense love for film and, in turn, all aspects of the cinematic process. Some of his best childhood memories involved renting and watching VHS tapes with friends. Derek put together his first short film Red Balloon at the age of 18. Derek has been writing, directing and filming short films since then. His biggest influences are Kubrick, Classic Carpenter, Spielberg. His favorite movie is a tie between Evil Dead 2 and Dawn of the Dead (78). He has a great love and appreciation of movies that are shot on film. He also loves film and digital photography in his spare time.
