Shinya Matsumoto is a Japanese actor and director, born in Ehime Prefecture and based in Tokyo. He is known for Kuroshitsuji: The Most Beautiful Death In The World (2010), and the theatre troupe Studio Life, which is entirely made up of male actors with a female director. Actors such as himself often play female characters, as it is an all male cast, and are very versatile in their work. Shinya Matsumoto has also been part of a musical group, called Setsugekka, translating to Snow, Moon and Flower. Setsugekka had six members, all from Studio Life in the "Junior 7" division (which indicates that they joined Studio Life in 2004). The group was active from 2009-2010 and was affiliated with Sony Music.
