Michael Colvin was born in Fort Edward, New York, to Jessie Russell and Michael L. Colvin. He is mostly Irish with some French, ancestry. Michael is an army veteran, after serving he went to college and graduated from the University at Albany with a bachelor's degree in communications (Go Danes). He later moved to Arizona to start the production company Dimension 5 Productions. He is also the Operations Manager at 1100 KFNX, 50,000 watt radio station in the Phoenix Metro area. His first movie, Resolution (2016), was filmed at Mel's Diner in Phoenix. His next movie was Love Clinic written by Beau Yotty with the thought to have Michael direct it. They shot it in one day after hours. Michael liked working with the cast and created a T.V. pilot called Phoenix Shorts, with 2 people in mind. Cat Roberts and Beau Yotty. The show was created to help inspire young filmmakers by showing early projects made by indie directors. This is a interview style format with the clip being the entire short film! Currently Michael is working on multiple projects, Target Customer's is in post-production. He host's The Indie Report a weekly Facebook Live experience with Beau Yotty. Michael started the Facebook Live Movie challenge with On Messenger the first ever Facebook Live movie. #IndieReportFBLiveChallenge He has a series of Facebook Live movies in the works stay tuned. Dimension 5 Productions is creating a pilot for a new television show called Networking Arizona airing in October. Michael is also in pre-production for his first full length movie The Legend of Copper Snake Mine.
