After working as a prosecutor in the office of the California Attorney General, Tony Blankley worked in the Reagan administration as a speechwriter and senior political analyst before he became a spokesman for and an adviser to Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (1990-1997). Blankley later served as editorial page editor of the Washington Times (2002-2007) and, in later years, wrote a syndicated newspaper column and appeared on a number of television programs including "The McLaughlin Report".
