Janet has enjoyed a multi-faceted career that includes acting, screenwriting, and teaching young artists in inner-city high schools. Happily, she's found that the green room, the classroom and the writer's room have plenty in common, and she feels lucky to have spent time in all three. After graduating from Oberlin College and The Drama Studio in London, she worked Off-Broadway at theaters like Playwrights Horizons before settling in Los Angeles. She has guest-starred on top television shows, turned in memorable cameos on film, and starred in stage premieres by leading playwrights on both coasts. Her own solo play "The Ramona Roses" was hailed as "exuberant and hilarious" by Daily Variety. Other writing credits include the feature film "Bellyfruit." After taking a hiatus from the industry to teach theatre and raise her daughter, Janet is pleased to once again focus on performing. In addition to on-camera work, she can be heard on commercials, narrative podcasts, and audiobooks.
