Sarah Michelle Gellar

American actress best known for her work in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003). Discovered by an agent in a restaurant at the age of 4, she began her career in films, television series, and some Broadway shows. Her participation in the soap operas Swans Crossing (1991) and All My Children (1993-95) allowed her to reach more audiences and win fans, as well as an Emmy Award for Outstanding Young Actress in a Drama Series. Her performance as Buffy, a vampire slayer who faces all kinds of creatures during seven seasons, granted her great popularity and launched her to stardom, allowing her to be part of world-renowned productions such as I Know What They Did Last Summer (1997), Scream 2 (1997), Cruel Intentions (1999), Scooby-Doo (2002) and its sequel Scooby-Doo: Monsters on the Loose (2004). She then veered into horror with The Curse (2004) and its 2006 sequel. After Buffy ended, her roles became increasingly sporadic, appearing in Ringer (2011), Crazy on the Attack (2013-14), and the supernatural drama Wolf Pack (2023-). She is married to her Scooby-Doo co-star and fellow actor Freddie Prinze, Jr.
