After starting a career as a model, the daughter of Steven Tyler, singer of Aerosmith, was able to take her first steps in acting by participating in videos of her father's songs. She made her film debut with Silent Fall (1994) but gained recognition for the lead role in Italian director Bernardo Bertolucci's Stealing Beauty (1996), the film received all kinds of criticism, but Liv's performance was viewed favorably. She has appeared in other supporting roles in films such as Empire Records (1995), That Thing You Do! (1996), Armageddon (1998), Jersey Girl (2004) Lonesome Jim (2005), The Strangers (2008) The Incredible Hulk (2008), Ad Astra (2019), among others. She also starred in the television series Harlots (2017) and The Leftovers (2014). Beyond being the daughter of the renowned singer, she managed to build her own career in film and television.
