He began his acting studies at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute, and from that time he was already creating and acting in his own plays and at night performing in live comedy clubs. Years later, with the film Parting Glances (1986) his film career took off. Mostly known for his supporting roles in films such as Scorsese's New York Stories (1989), Barton Fink (1991), Fargo (1996) and The Big Lebowski (1998) by the Coen brothers, he established himself as an actor with Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs (1992). He won prestigious awards such as Golden Globe, SAG and Emmy, among others.
