Rauf Alazan

Cartoonist, Painter, Poster, Decorator, Theater-Cinema Actor / He was born on July 3, 1931 in Istanbul. He graduated from DGSA Poster Department. During his student years at the Academy, he drew cartoons for humor publications. He was nicknamed "Karga Rauf" because of the crow symbol he used in the caricature signature. He entered the cinema environment by making domestic and foreign movie posters. He acted in a few films with the encouragement of Osman Seden. He also acted in theater. When he lost his parents in 1963, he moved to Stockholm, Sweden. He continued his art studies there. He passed away on March 26, 2006 in Stockholm. The ashes of his body, which was cremated upon his will, were scattered by his friends in Fenerbahçe Bay, Istanbul.
