Adour left Law school on its third year and joined the cast of the play "Família Pouco Família" in 1962, which earned him an "Associação Brasileira de Críticos Teatrais"'s Best New Talent award, starting a career that would last 25 years on TV, theater and film. In 1965, he went to Europe, to study theater in London and Paris for a year. Back home, he starred in three more successful plays, and in 1968, he signed with Tupi TV, for his first telenovela. The same year, he would move to Globo TV, where again he would be honored with the 'Troféu Helena Silveira' for his performance on Bandeira 2 (1971). Nonetheless, his later appearances on telenovelas would be limited to a series of supporting roles. His last work on television was for the now defunct Manchete TV in 1986, when he decided to leave acting and dedicate himself to managing his family's wealth. He would spend the following decades collecting art, traveling, and enjoying life in Rio de Janeiro.
