Jeff Allan is a native of Boston, Massachusetts who began his acting career in 1994. Before acting, he served as an active duty Marine with the US Marine Corps until 1992. After the Marines, Jeff returned to Boston to finish college. In 1994, Jeff traveled to the South East Asian country of Indonesia, looking for work as an expatriate. A television talent scout spotted Jeff in the city of Yogyakarta on the island of Java. The scout cast Jeff as the lead antagonist in a weekly television drama. For 36 episodes, Jeff played the commander of Dutch forces in Indonesia during the Indonesian independence rebellion. Jeff last appeared on television in 1996. He left acting to pursue life in corporate business. For the next 12 years, Jeff developed business ventures for technology companies across Asia and the United States, eventually attaining prominent status as a business developer. At the height of his career, Jeff became disillusioned with corporate life, and chose to shift his industry knowledge to writing. Jeff wrote his first book about high-tech identity theft. "Identity Uprising" was published in 2009 and helped launch Jeff into full-time writing. Jeff spent the majority of the next year writing for online and print publications as a technology expert. In early 2010, Jeff made the decision to return to Asia as a writer. By midyear, Jeff had relocated to Tokyo, Japan to cover technology topics in Asia. Shortly after relocating, television roles began to emerge for Jeff. Beginning with a few bit parts on Japanese television dramas, Jeff found increasing opportunities both on camera and behind the scenes. In addition to acting roles, Jeff started to work in the voice-over, production and writing sides. He also has expanded into the film production area with various international projects beginning in 2011.
