Biography

John D. Alexander is a native New Yorker, where, as a lad, he began his acting career, and has spent the past 30 years in theatre, film, and radio. He has worked on such films as The Bronx Bull (opposite Paul Sorvino), Sanctioning Evil, The Mudge Boy (opposite Richard Jenkins and Emile Hirsch), American Gun (opposite James Coburn), Me, Myself, and Irene, and What Lies Beneath, as well as television work on Law & Order: SVU and a variety of commercials. Favorite roles include Prospero (The Tempest), Teach (American Buffalo), Pozzo (Waiting for Godot), Arthur Goldman (The Man in the Glass Booth), Johnny Pateen (The Cripple of Inishmaan), Orin the Dentist (Little Shop of Horrors), Arscott and Collins (Our Country's Good), Ross (The Elephant Man), Eddie Schultz (No Orchids for Miss Blandish), and Treat (Orphans).
