Walter Alza is a Trailblazer, Award Winning Actor/Director/Writer/Producer/Acting Coach and Artist Quite simply, Walter Alza is "all about the work and family". Walter Alza is one of those rare, passionate performers that can be very intense in dramatic roles such as in Paramount Pictures "Get Rich or Die Trying with 50 cent and Terrance Howard and in Flashpoint" or crack you up in comedies like "At The Hotel and Metropia, Special Correspondents with Ricky Gervais ". Walter was introduced to the world of entertainment at the tender age of four by his sister - an actress in Argentina. In the late 1980's his journey took him to Canada to further his acting career and to be re united with his father. Walter quickly became known for his Leading Actor and Character performances, his knack for picking up accents, and his ability to effortlessly portray both drama and comedy. An industry veteran and crafted character actor in his own right, Alza's award-winning career spans hundreds of hours of experience in front and behind the camera, working across the globe. Walter has been developing unforgettable characters while perfecting his craft for over 25 years. He has knack at portraying characters from diverse nationalities in over 40 films, television series and movies of the week. Writer/Director/Producer - As a filmmaker Walter's feature film debut was sold to 8 different networks across Canada including Rogers tmn, cojeco, and bell where it aired in Pay Per View and VOD and 7 other networks. Walter directed and produced the winner of the Best Foreign Film in Nevada Film Festival 2010 "Clive Houston, We Have a Problem" - an edgy comedy. His first film Redemption, Tears and Trains, garnered him critical acclaim from the media. As well Walter shares the winning of ten other awards. Because of his tireless efforts to portray diversity in his work, he won the Reel World Film Festival's Trailblazer Award in 2005 and the City of Toronto Award in 2006. His other films Open Your Eyes Katarina Premiered in The Official Selection of Ireland International Film Festival 2010. Acting Coach Walter Alza opened the Alza Acting Studio in 2005 to share his tools and vision. He has taught thousands of actors in class, in private sessions at the studio and via Skype worldwide. He is now considered to be one of Canada's preeminent acting coaches, working closely with a hand-selected group of both established and up-and-coming performers. He teaches all over Ontario, gives conferences and workshops. Actors studying under Walter have appeared in literally every major Canadian television series, countless films and commercials and have gone on to win awards across Canada and the USA. Walter has frequently been invited to be a guest speaker and moderator at ACTRA Conferences and Film Festivals across North America. Walter is part of the ACTRA diversity committee.
