Ifoghale Amata was involved with the work of Moral Re-Armament and helped write the script of the film Freedom (which can be seen on Vimeo). It is said to be the first full-length feature film starring Africans. Ifoghale was a larger than life character who came from Bendel State in Nigeria. He was the oldest of four brothers. His younger brother Isaac worked in Europe as a volunteer with Moral Re-Armament for several years. In later life, Ifoghale was a lecturer at the Abraka teacher-training college in Delta State, which later became a university. His wife's name was Joy and they had several children. He is not known to have played in any other films but he produced plays with some of his students, which played in other parts of Nigeria.
