Sarita Allison began her career as a makeup artist working on various fashion shows, magazine covers, editorials, album covers, TV commercials and music videos. During this period, Sarita worked for the likes of Bjork, Issey Miyake, Vivienne Westwood and Alexander Mcqueen. Her first feature prosthetic work was for Judge Dredd (1995) where Sarita worked for industry veteran Nick Dudman. Sarita was then subsequently invited to join Dudman's teams in both Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace (1999) and The Mummy (1999). Touching the Void (2003) was a pivotal point in Sarita's career. A true story about two climbers and their perilous journey in the Peruvian Andes. It required realistic frostbit/exposure makeup reflecting the extreme weather conditions in the Alps. In 2004, Touching the Void went on to win the Alex Korda award for Best British Film. Along the way, Sarita worked on various TV Movies (Stella Street, Surrealissimo The Scandalous Success of Salvador Dali, Agatha Christie: A Life in Pictures, and Fooling Hitler, TV Series (Skins, Nearly Famous and Scallywagga) various feature films (Churchill: The Hollywood Years, The Upside of Anger, The Disappearance of Alice Creed and The Infidel). In 2011, Sarita joined an all-female special effects makeup team to work on Jennifer Lawrence's character Mystique in X Men: First Class (2011). That same year Sarita re-teamed with Nick Dudman on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II (2011). Sarita once again with Makeup Effects Consultant Nick Dudman on putting together a team of animatronics and makeup effects experts to refurbish and curate the Harry Potter creations housed at Leavesden Studios for the Warner Bros The Making of Harry Potter tour in London. Sarita worked on the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Then went back to television with Mr. Selfridge (2013). Universal's short Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts (2014) and The Hogwarts Express for Orlando's Theme Park. Sarita re-teamed with Nick Dudman to work on Penny Dreadful (2014) where she took the position as Key Prosthetic Makeup Artist. Season one won the BAFTA TV Craft Award for Best Makeup and Hair Design and scored an Emmy nomination for the season's finale. Sarita is working on the third season of Penny Dreadful which will air in the Spring of 2016.
