Having worked at ILM's San Francisco studio for several years earlier in his career, Steve Aplin joined ILM's London studio in spring 2016. Steve first joined ILM in 1996, starting off as a modeler on Men In Black. He worked on films such as Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Sleepy Hollow, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and A.I. Aplin made the transition into animation by creating his own animated short film after hours, and impressed the animation department into putting him on the team for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Once in the animation department, Aplin enjoyed a swift rise through the ranks, working a long list of films with a range of animation styles and requirements. He made the transition to Animation Supervisor in 2009. Some credits include: Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Eragon, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Star Trek: Into Darkness, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
