Born in 1949, Ann Aris has the record of appearing as the most different characters in the same programme, "Coronation Street". Between 1976 and 2010 she appeared as 12 different characters, from Kay Miller in 1976 to the judge at the vandalism trial of Becky Granger in 2008. Besides these roles, Ann also played Mrs Motterhead, the registrar at Sally and Kevin Webster's wedding, a court usher at the trial of Alan Bradley, a secretary at Newton And Ridley brewery, the boss at Bettabuys supermarket, the registrar at the wedding of Curly and Raquel, a dog walker that finds the ill Fred Elliott, the judge at the infamous trial of Deirdre Rachid, Les Batterby's trial for assault, the judge at the preliminary hearing of Tracy Barlow's murder trial. Ann has been a regular actor in TV productions by Granada Televison, one of the companies holding an ITV franchise license, since the 1960s. She has four children.
