Roy Beck was born in November 1929 in Kent, England as Roy Sidney John Beck. He started out working at Denham Studios in 1947 on 'So Evil My Love'. He went on to have a hugely illustrious career in films and television, working as stand-in and double for many stars, Robert Mitchum, Roger Moore, Anthony Hopkins, John Hurt, Rod Steiger, James Stewart, James Coburn, Edward Fox, Ryan O'Neil, Charles Bronson, George Segal and Lee Marvin to name a few. He was a popular featured face in many TV commercials in the 1960s which took him to Europe and the Caribbean. He spent many years on the FAA Executive and as a leading negotiator, creating the FAA/PACT agreement which remains to this day. February 14, 1998 in London, England marks his untimely passing.
