Marvin Beck studied acting with Rose Schulman at Hedgerow Theatre. After appearing in dinner theatre, he decided to attend the American Academy Of Dramatic Arts, receiving a full scholarship for his second year, and receiving the military veterans award for outstanding acting at the American Academy graduation. Six months after graduating from the Academy, he was directed by Joe Papp and Bill Gunn on Broadway in Black Picture Show. He later played Lt. Shrank in a national tour of West Side Story, starring Leslie Uggams. He also had a leading role in The Legendary Stardust Boys, Off-Broadway, and has appeared in feature films, industrial films, TV, and several TV commercials.
