Denise David Williams / Writer/Producer / MakeMagic Productions After earning a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Hofstra University, Ms. Williams attended the Peter Stark graduate producing program at USC film school, while simultaneously getting her first job in Hollywood as a production assistant on E.T. Ms. Williams subsequently was a Story Editor at 20th Century Fox/ IndieProd Company, where she analyzed feature film scripts and worked with A-List writers and directors such as Robert Zemeckis, Lawrence Kasdan and Buck Henry. As Director of Creative Affairs for Arkoff International Pictures, Ms. Williams found and developed feature film material and had extensive production responsibilities on their slate of feature films. Ms. Williams was Vice President of Production for Kopelson Entertainment where she was responsible for acquiring and developing feature film projects for both foreign and domestic markets. Among the many projects under her auspices were Warlock, Triumph of the Spirit and Platoon, which grossed over $100 million dollars and garnered Best Director and Best Picture Academy Awards for director Oliver Stone and producer Arnold Kopelson, respectively. Ms. Williams is president of MakeMagic Productions. Under this banner, Ms Williams is: Producer and writer of the motion picture, JOHN MACK, the true story of the Harvard Psychiatry professor who worked with alien abductees and drew a conclusion that shattered his understanding of the material world and opened him to the truth that we are not alone in the Universe. Producer and co-writer of, along with Lanett Tachel, LOVE AFTER, a contemporary African-American "GHOST" inspired by true events. The story of a romance that continues after the premature death of one of the lovers. Playwright of, A GOOD AMERICAN, an autobiographical play about transcending the conflict of religion. A Samuel French sponsored staged reading in 2018 was done to rave reviews. MakeMagic is also producing the American adaptation of the French father/son reconciliation comedy, OSCAR DIVO. Ms. Williams is a member of the WGA west, the Dramatists Guild of America and a frequent script consultant. She is married to Grammy nominated musician/composer/arranger, Larry Williams.
