Ric de Azevedo grew up in North Hollywood, California. He started performing in television commercials at 8 years old. In 1965, the same year he graduated from North Hollywood High School, his family created the weekly networked one-hour TV series The King Family Show (1965) which aired on ABC.Two years later, Ric joined the United States Army and was assigned to "United States Army Field Band" attached to the Pentagon and stationed at Fort Meade, Maryland. There he spent 3 years as a vocal soloist with a 25 piece Jazz band. After leaving the service in 1970, he went back to Los Angeles to sing with his family. The King Family performed live, had two television series, did 15 one-hour Holiday Specials and numerous guest appearances from 1965 to 1975. In 1971 he went to work at Universal Studios as a Post Production Supervisor and stayed there until 1979. In 1979 he moved to Warner Bros Studios, where he became the Associate Producer of Private Benjamin, The Young Maverick, Enos, California Fever and later Director of Warner Bros Television Post Production. In 1993 he became Director of Film Services for Warner Bros Studio Facilities. Ric retired from Warner Bros in 2006 and moved to Utah. Since 1983, Ric has also sung with the original members of the famous singing group "The Lettermen" in their new group "Reunion" They performed all over the world for 33 years. Jim Pike, the founder and lead singer of The Lettermen and Reunion passed away in 2019. Ric now performs solo shows singing and playing his guitar. He has been married to his wife Anna for 45 years. They have 2 children, 4 grandsons, 1 granddaughter a cabin in the mountains of Big Bear, California and loves to fish.
