Sarah Scott Davis is a mid-west beauty, whose strong theatrical background supports her conviction to step into anyone's shoes and bring their story to life. Born in Illinois, and raised in Boston and New York City, Sarah's fascination with creating characters began when she landed her first role in the elementary school play, "Pippin". As she grew, so did her talent. In high school, Sarah won three Best Actress awards in the Boston Globe Theater Competition, for her roles in Rimers of Eldritch and Wings. She went on to study at New York University, Boston University, Alvin Ailey Repertory Dance Co., and with Larry Moss and Tony Greco. Bringing an organic theatricality to every performance, Sarah was cast in over 14 theater productions in the United States and Europe combined. Her life experiences and authentic approach have led her to land diverse roles ranging from Othello in Othello, to the NYC National Tour of For Colored Girls, to Paris as a blues singer in Nostalgia Forgetting/ Desire and finally landing on Broadway as the understudy in August Wilson's Two Trains Running, directed by the legendary Lloyd Richards. Sarah landed the starring role in Flyin' West at the prestigious San Diego Repertory Theater. Within her new arena, Sarah took on the challenge of producing, writing and starring in her own, one woman shows, "Flava of the Month," performed at the Midwest Regional Black Theater Festival and "Me and My Hair," performed at the Hudson Guild Theater in Los Angeles. Branching out from the world of theater, Sarah burst into the Los Angeles world of film where she was cast as Julianne Moore's nurse in "Safe", Directed by Todd Haynes, and later as a sultry criminal in Showtime's "Next Afternoon." Since then, Sarah has been cast in several notable films including, "Don King: Only in America" on HBO and TV film "Introducing Dorothy Dandridge." She also played Young Annie (a younger version of Ruby Dee) in the Dreamworks film, "A Thousand Words" starring Eddie Murphy. Sarah's credits also include several short films such as, "Elly & Donna" directed by, Michael Maggiano, "7 Days" directed by Justine Etheredge, "Mae" directed by Nazanin Anosheh and "The Grey Parallel" directed by, Brad J. Sergi. Sarah's television credits include Criminal Minds, Five Desperate Hours (NBC/MOW), Playing with Fire (BET), the Drew Carey Show, The Bold and the Beautiful, and a recurring on The Newsroom (HBO). With two amazing children and a five-time Grammy nominated songwriter, mixer, producer husband - it's fair to say that the little "sweet pea" from the mid-west has been a trailblazer with many more trails ahead of her to blaze.
