He finished the Department for Movie Direction at the Theater and Cinematography Institute Bucharest ("IATC"), in 1982, at professor's Gheorghe Vitanidis class. Being employed by the "Buftea" Studios, he became an assistant for several Romanian movie directors as for: "Dragostea si Revolutia" (R: Gh. Vitanidis), "Misterele Bucurestilor" (R: Doru Nastase) 1983, "Ringul" (R: Sergiu Nicolaescu); the TV Serial "Eroii nu au Varsta" (episodes 7-12, R: Dan Mironescu) 1984; "Ziua Z" (R: Sergiu Nicolaescu); "Noi cei din Linia intai" (R: Sergiu Nicolaescu); "Domnisoara Aurica" (R: Serban Marinescu), 1986; "Drumet in Calea Lupilor" / "Profesorul" (R: Constantin Vaeni), 1987. He made a first movie "Nelu", based on a screenplay by Dumitru Radu Popescu, in 1988, got a Price at the Film Festival in Costinesti, and of ACIN, the Romanian Movie Association. In 1988 he started the production of a movie about the Romanian pilots in the First WW on a screenplay George Busecan, which was not realized, and assisted film director Angel Mora at "Kilometrul 36". In the next year he started a film after a screenplay by D.R. Popescu, "Cenusa Pasarii din Vis" (1989), which was rejected by the authorities as being "inadecvate to high ideals...", and could be finished only in spring, as the Decembrie Revolution 1989 had changed everything. The movie was not received well as being a "comunist film". He made a documentary on the events ("Calvarul"), and another for the Netherlands "Behind Golden Doors", distributed in over 100 countries, which was never presented in Romania. His film career faded away, so he put in scene 2 plays, "Closed Doors" by Jean Paul Sartre and "The Fox and the Strawberries" by Guilhemme Figueiredo, at the Theatre in Resita, worked for a commercial TV and started a production company for movies, video and TV, but could not continue, due to some health problems. In the last years, he worked for an Acting School belonging to his sister, in Germany, and made a film "Freyday, the 13th"...
