Stephen went on to read History at Cambridge University. Following a 27 year career in the Royal Navy that took him to the Far East and the Middle East (including Afghanistan) and. His time in the RN included some acting in RN Drama competitions and writing and directing sketches for comedy revues. He retired in 2016. Stephen and his wife now live on a smallholding in Wales where they specificalise in rare and native breeds and preserving the rare habitats.
