Biography

Gerardo Davila was born in Zacatecas, Mexico and grew up in Garland, TX. He's 1st generation, the oldest of five children and the first of his family to become an actor in the United States. In his late teens he applied his music background and formed a rap group called Latin Royalty that performed in and around the Dallas scene. After the group broke up, he later went by solo artist Master G. He later attended the University of North Texas studying Radio-TV-Film, subsequently giving up his musical aspirations as a young adult and began his acting career at the age of 29 jumping right into theatre at Teatro Dallas working with his first mentor and friend the late Cora Cardona. In 2004 he joined acting group Class Act Dallas, he trained there weekly for 16 years under the tutelage of his late mentor Daniel Foster. He attributes his success to being bilingual, consistent training, persistence, patience and dedication. He had another great mentor, the late Marta Dubois in Los Angeles. In
