Gerald Emerick gained notoriety at CBGBs with band Quincy, which Columbia Records signed to its biggest deal ever in 1980. Sued upon their debut by Quincy Jones over their name, the band released a second album as Lulu Temple. Emerick went on to create the PTL Sound Club, a satirical alternative music/performance art club act and continued to develop a career as an actor and composer in film and TV. He wrote, directed, and produced a short film featuring Gary Oldman. He is at work writing a dramatic series about a punk era band and a musical/multi-media play about the reunion of an estranged performance art band.
