Cristina Camargo is a costume designer in São Paulo, Brazil. Born in São Paulo, she started working as a stylist for the Elle Brasil magazine. Her first job for cinema was "Terra Estrangeira" in 1995, directed by Walter Salles. She has also worked on the production of "Central do Brasil", which contested for "Best Foreign Film" during the 1999 Oscars. Since then, she has taken on various assignments for cinema and television series, mostly for HBO and Brazilian channels. Nominated for several awards, she won a prize for being Best Costume Designer of 2017, for the film Elis, which tells the story about the famous Brazilian singer Elis Regina.
