Steve Carlson played fourteen years as both a professional and semi-professional, including five years in the World Hockey Association. For a year, he roomed with Wayne Gretzky when they both played for the Edmonton Oilers, Carlson later playing two seasons with the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League. He was a head coach in the East Coast Hockey League and the Central Hockey League and was a part-time assistant coach for Johnstown (Pa.) Bishop McCort High School when it took five state titles. Today he operates Steve Carlson Hockey.
