Fred C. Caruso

A fabulous rags to riches story. Mr. Caruso began as a music director at Monmouth Regional High school, Eatontown NJ. Most likely in the 60's making less than $15,000 a year. He played saxophone on the side for extra money, and after a short time realized his talent could further his income elsewhere. He told another music director he was moving to Hollywood to become famous and rich. He went to work with Otto Preminger, the rumor was he was responsible for Otto's coffee. A brilliant hard worker was offered better positions and became what he said he would be. His story should be told, an inspiration for dreamers who are willing to take a chance and work difficult and long hours.
