As director and editor Brent Carpenter has worked nonstop moving between sitcoms and music specials including all of the Ringo Starr and the All Starr Band shows since 2003, Disney Sitcom Crash & Bernstein, Nickelodeon's True Jackson V.P, and the darkly humorous Greg the Bunny (2002). Brent also directed a special "50th Birthday Film" for Billy Crystal's birthday party, starring Rob Reiner, Martin Short and Christopher Guest among many others. Brent was Emmy and Grammy nominated in 1998 as co-producer on the Robert Altman film Robert Altman's Jazz '34 (1996). He also oversaw the editing of this jazz spectacular, featuring a number of current jazz greats portraying jazz stars of the 1930s. Brent served as co-producer and editor on the first season of The Larry Sanders Show (1992) helping to create the backstage look that served the show so well. He was one of a number of producers and the editor on the CBS comedy Dave's World (1993), and has long been involved in the world of comedy. He also served in that capacity on the critically acclaimed HBO series Sessions (1991) created by Billy Crystal. Brent started in television as a news photographer in Phoenix and Minneapolis. Before becoming involved with television, he was a roustabout in the Tulsa oil fields and cooked hamburgers. He prefers television.
