Bernadette Carranza began her career in the Seventies as production assistent for VIDES owned by Franco Cristaldi. In 1978 she sets up a Service Company (INTESA & INTESA S.r.l.) that has as its objective the promotion of famous italian and foreign companies in the world of television and cinema. It organize balls and conference for both the public and the private sectors, exhibitions and cultural events for famous publishing houses and the Rome Town Council. INTESA & INTESA primarily specialises in production, Press Relation, and Casting. Carranza actively collaborates with this company to this today as founder member. Head of Production Division she produces a number of documentaries and news report for RAI, the National Italian Public Broadcasting Network. In 1994 she forms a second Company FILM TRUST ITALIA S.r.l. through which she begins to draw near to the world of young film-makers. In 1996 she produces 10 fiction shorts directed by 10 young Italian directors in collaboration with RAI, the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and Italian International Film. These shorts are particularly well received both by the public and the press. One of the ten short produced, "Senza parole", receives an Oscar nomination in 1997. She is awarded the Nastro D'Argento and the Davide di Donatello '97 for the entire production effort of '96.
