After graduating from the FEMIS film school, Yves Caumon decided to return to Gaillac, near Toulouse, his native region and started directing shorts such as La beauté du monde (1999). One of these, Les filles de mon pays (1999) was awarded the 2000 Jean Vigo Award. Caumon's first feature-length movie Amour d'enfance (2001) won a prize at Cannes. His second feature (and last to-date) was Peekaboo (2005), shot in the Summer of 2005, both a wonderful children's film and allegoric tale about the haves and have-nots.
