Enrique holds a bachelor of arts in Art-Semiotics from Brown University (USA) and a master of philosophy in screenwriting from the University of Bergen (Norway). He is the founder and director of the production company Realizaciones Amanecerá and has over two decades of experience producing award-winning social documentaries. His intimate documentary, memories of the old man's son (2002), shared first prize at the Costa Rican exhibition, Inquieta Imagen, in 2004. In 2006 he was awarded from the DOCTV IB fund for his film familia (2002-2007), which explores conflicting inter-familial views on the politically charged expansion of the Panama Canal. He also edited Curundú (2007), Ana Endara's documentary portrait of an impoverished neighborhood in Panama City, which was awarded the prize for best editing at the 2008 Festival Ícaro in Guatemala. Enrique also, wrote, directed, and produced wata (2010), a fictional short that portrays a mother's love for her lost daughter in a post-apocalyptic world of extreme drought. wata was selected as the Best Panamanian Short Film at the 2012 Hayah Short Film Festival and the Best Central American Short Film at the 2010 Festival Ícaro.
