Jesús Castaños Chima (from Culiacán, Sinaloa) is a former member of the Autonomous National University of México (UNAM) Theater Company. He started his acting career in Culiacán, Sinaloa, México with DIFOCUR Theater Group, directed by Jorge Cázarez and the Theater Workshop of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (TATUAS), directed by Óscar Liera. During his almost 40 years' career, he's worked in plays, TV and films in México as well as The United States. FILM Credits include: Memorama (Dir. Gabriel S Reyes & Daniel Serrano Moreno, 2019), El Jardín (Dir. Christian Cavazos, 2019), Pares y Nones (Dir. Gregorio Carrillo), Quinceañera (Dir. Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland) winner of the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2006. TV Series: Placas (USA), Carrusel, Destino, Hora Marcada (México). He has also worked for different theater companies in Los Angeles, CA and participated in many international theater festivals in different countries. Currently he works as a Director of the Latino Theater Programs at 24th Street Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.
