Angelo Cecchelin

Angelo Cecchelin (Trieste, October 23, 1894 - Turin, June 18, 1964) was a popular stage actor and Italian comedian. The greatest comedian of Trieste, brought the dialect of Trieste on the stages of Italy. In the '20s gave birth to a company, "La ganga de macie the" later "The Triestinissima", with which he performed until 1939. He played in Trieste in "Filodrammatico" theater and "Regina" and around the Venezia Giulia and Istria. In 1945 a real tour around Italy with the hit "Trieste mia". He died in Turin at age 70.
