Joining ASCAP in 1932, his chief musical collaborators included Nacio Herb Brown and Harry Barris. His other popular-song compositions include "It Must Be True", "Paradise", "Was It Wrong?", "Who Am I?", "Somebody's Birthday', "Sahara Nights", and "The Golden Years".
