Leo Naim Konforti is Bulgarian actor of Jewish origin. He was born on February 21, 1911 in Dupnitsa, Bulgaria. Leo Konforti had only secondary education. He had known the misery, but he was in love with the theater. He had participated in school performances, where he acted as a talented improviser. In 1935, he was admitted to the Theater School of Nikolai Masalitinov at the National Theatre. After graduation he had played in Ruse and Burgas. In 1946, he was accepted into the troupe of the Youth Theatre. Since 1950, he had played in the National Theatre. There he had continued the tradition developed by the great masters of the episode. His brief appearances were so colorful that always have remembered by the audience. In the cinema we will remember him as Nasreddin Hodzha from "Cookie Monster". Numerous appearances in the stage, radio and television brought him a great fame. Leo Konforti was superb in "Price" by Arthur Miller. On the stage and in life he radiated a rare warmth and kindness. He married Stefka Katzarska - very talented actress. He died on March 8, 1970 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
