Karina Palmer is an American actress, television host, and filmmaker. She was born in Bogota, Colombia from a photographer mother and a writer father and spent her childhood attending music school, acting in the theater and enjoying life as a kid. At an early age, Karina and her sisters moved to New York City with their mother. She attended college at The School of Visual Arts and graduated with outstanding achievement with a documentary about the life and work of American animator Bill Plympton. Karina (Correa) Palmer became a familiar face in television while working as a content producer and television host on Current.TV the American Television Channel created by Al Gore, Joel Hyatt and Ronald Burkle. After the closing of the network and inspired by life in coastal Spain, Karina partner up and opened a restaurant named "BIKINIS" in the lower east side of Manhattan (2011- 2015). While working as a freelance food and travel writer and host, she took a challenge as a Spanish speaking host in Colombia (2014) to become the face of the food and travel show "I love Sabor USA" created by Channel 13 which ran for two years (2015 - 2017). Karina began acting in the national theater at an early age and continued studying method acting. Her most recent role as Luisa the head of the DEA is in the Netflix Original Series "Alias JJ, SUrviving Escobar." (2018)
