Dayne Cowan

Dayne Cowan was born in Australia. He grew up predominantly in Sydney where he completed a Bachelor of Computer Science degree at the University of Technology Sydney. With a sub-major in Design he was always interested in combining his technical and artistic interests and began a career in post production and visual effects. He moved to London in 1997, and spent many years working for visual effects companies such as Dneg, Framestore, Cinesite and Molinaire on a variety of films including Batman Begins, Stranger Than Fiction, 10000 BC, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Paul, John Carter, and the Academy Award winning film The Reader. In 2011 he moved to Singapore to widen his global experience to include Asia. He developed several post production and visual effects companies in Singapore, China and Malaysia to service both the Asian and Hollywood markets. In 2022 he started working for Amazon Studios South East Asia as the Post Production Lead for Local Original Movies, creating films in Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia. He has been a member of the Visual Effects Society for many years, and has served 3 terms as a Board Member. He has also been nominated for a VES Award.
