Kevin Crysler first became interested in acting at Richardson High School in Dallas Texas, which had a strong performing arts program (Comedian Bill Engvall was one of his classmates - other graduates include Deborah Foreman, Tracey Hutson, Barry Watson, Jay Johnson and Jeff Dunham). After earning a degree in marketing at University of Georgia, Kevin decided to try his hand at acting as a profession, eventually becoming a member of the company at the Academy Theater in Atlanta, one of the oldest professional theater resident companies in the nation. While his film and television career includes only a handful of productions, he worked extensively in Atlanta Theater over a period of 10 years and also made a living doing voice-over work and "industrial" films. For three years, he was the host of the program "Compendium" which was produced by the Atlanta / Fulton County Public Libraries and featured authors and others involved in upcoming events, activities and programs of the library. Kevin left Atlanta in 1992 to produce touring musical theater productions and educational programs in Orange County, California, which led him into arts management and was effectively the end of his performing career. He did, however, spend several years at KOCE-TV as a reporter, segment producer and sometimes host of the news program "Real Orange." He also hosted an annual program "The Entrepreneurial Spirit" for several years and was a regular presence on pledge drives.
