Evan Crooke established Paragon Pictures Inc. Paragon Pictures launched in 1994. Producing the financially successful thriller "The Killing Jar" in 1997, which sold to HBO, ABC, 90K units on DVD and sold to 161 countries in all formats. In 2014 Paragon secured a limited theatrical release of the film "Bottled Up", starring Academy Award Winner Melissa Leo, in ten significant theaters across the United States. This theatrical launch allowed Paragon to obtain a lucrative Netflix deal for the title, as well as prominent placement in iTunes and cable VOD, and positioned itself as an ally to producers in the ever-expanding field of digital distribution. Other significant titles for Paragon Pictures include THE KILL HOLE, starring Chadwick Boseman (42) who can be seen in upcoming roles such as legendary godfather of funk, James Brown in GET ON UP, and TWENTY8K, starring Parminder Nagra (Bend It Like Beckham) and Kaya Scodelario (The Maze Runner), ELECTRIC SLIDE, showed in select AMC Theaters starring Patricia Arquette (Boyhood), Isabel Lucus (Transformers; Revenge of the Fallen) Christopher Lambert (Highlander) and Jim Sturgess (21)
