Known for her innovative costume design in the Fantasy and Sci-Fi genres, her imaginative use of unique materials, infinite eye for detail and combining costume, surrealism and couture, the work of Ami Goodheart has been featured in multiple award-winning commercial campaigns, film, television, music videos and museum exhibitions. Her powerful use of color to tell stories on screen has become a trademark in her work. Growing up in NYC during the 80's and 90's she was exposed to the vibrance of artists like Jean Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, and at the age of 18 was the owner of a successful Vintage Clothing store in Manhattan's East Village. Her academic studies in Art History, passion of antique clothing and also the theatrical background of 15 years as a professional dancer moved her effortlessly into the direction of costume design. Throughout the years, Ami has designed original, avant garde creations for such celebrities such as Lady Gaga and has had her costumes photographed internationally by some of the worlds most noted photographers. Ami is the 2017 recipient of the most prestigious CDG award for Excellence in Costume Design: Short Form for her work in the fantasy PEPSI Japan, "Momotaro" commercial starring Jude Law. Part of the epic, cinematic commercials which features over 500 custom made costumes within 6 episodic mini-movies and has continued for the past 4 years. It is celebrated as the most awarded commercial campaign in Japan's history. Goodheart is based in Los Angeles and New York. She is represented by Partos Co. Agency.
